Judy`s Pizza in Hawthorne

Tried Judy's pizza again because of new owners and figured I'd give it a fair try. The good:They are local so only 5 minutes away.The bad:About $10.50 more than 5 star in Citra, which is 14 minutes away for the equivalent size pie.The toppings was scarce and finely chopped.The crust was rubbery. Hopefully they was just having a bad night for quality but the price dictates a few more minutes drive for the better and cheaper product. We will try it again later on.

Tons of food for great price

Best place for a calzone. Oversized pizzas that are great for get togethers and parties. Very reasonably priced and the food and service is great.

Stopped in for lunch while traveling on business and was pleasantly surprised. The server was very kind and the pizza was delicious. The toppings are fresh and you can tell in the flavor. They had a special deal for two 12” pizzas so the price was great. Wish I had a place like this in my hometown. Recommended to anybody looking for good pizza.

We get Judy's pizza and a salad for takeout quite often. They are always good and consistent. The huge pizza, I believe they call "the beast" was fun to order for a large group! Their salads are generous with lots of dressings to choose from. Service is always good and friendly. If they're busy the tables may stay dirty for a bit, but they'll clean one for you asap. I also enjoy the cookies and ice cream :) Judy's is the best restaurant in Hawthorne!

The pizza was great. Got it all the way which was a bit on the pricy for us, but worth it & everyone loved it.

I wasn't expecting much from this place. But I certainly expected more from a $3 slice of basic cheese pizza. It was very small and completely not worth it. I've had pizza from all over, I've paid lots of prices for a basic cheese slice. Never have I been so disappointed. For $3 I at least expected a good sized slice. Was not. Instead I get this baby slice of pizza. At the very least it was piping hot but will not be going here again. Also person at the counter told me my slice would take 5-10 minutes to come out?? But there was no one in the store but me? It didn't take that long but a slice of pizza? Ten minutes? Maybe if you made the pie just for me but from the way the cheese reheated I could tell that was not the case. They also don't have paper plates and I had to take my single baby slice of pizza out in a big styrofoam box. What year is it??

Pizza was not great. Very little sauce... where was the pepperoni? Also ordered wings was not mild like asked and was very salty.

Stopped by for lunch today during a road trip up to JAX. Got garlic rolls, a salad and an 18" cheese pizza. I'm originally from up north and I thought the pizza was very good. The sauce was tasty (not too sweet, which I HATE) and the pie was crispy (we did order the pie well done for my mom & wife). My wife enjoyed the salad and the kids liked the garlic rolls as well. Fed a family of 7 for around $25, which is really good, imo. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I would recommend Judy's if you are passing through. Oh yeah, and they have a pretty large menu for such a small place, too.

Dont do the chicken parm its not what it looks like in the picture online it is cut up dry chicken chunks in dry spaghetti with cheez melted on top of it never again I would reather drive down bumpy 219a to Betty's 30 min away instead of driving 5 min not happy at all get it together Hawthorne

I was traveling through Hawthorne on my trip back home to Virginia, and I found this place along the way. My first impression was a cozy pizza place, neat, clean, and smelled like fresh baked pizza! The customer service was also absolutely wonderful and pleasant from the moment I walked in and left. The food is also fantastic and I wish there was a pizza place this good back home! If I ever come through Hawthorne again, I will be sure to stop by and grab another slice 😁

While waiting for my order, I observed the young man that was making a pizza spinning the pizza pan while saucing dough without gloves on, and running his hand through his hair and then handling the pizza again without washing his hand. There were no associates with hairnets or gloves on or the proper attire such as aprons, long pants or shirts with sleeves. There were so many health violations that I witnessed. I spoke with the mgr and she was dismissive and unapologetic. I hope the person that receive that pizza doesn’t get sick from the cross contamination and I will personally never purchase food from there again. I did find out that Judy is not running the restaurant any longer and my advice to her is to disassociate her name from that place.

This place is a diamond in the rough, me and 2 other truck drivers walked down here tonight from the loves truck stop and so glad we did. The food was excellent and very fresh and tasted homemade in every since. The lasagna was great and the stromboli was excellent as well. They also served us a nice salad and really tasty homemade little garlic knots. Seriously the best Italian food I've ever had, thanks guys for a great meal and the waitress was terrific as well. Will definitely be making this a stop off point from now on while in Florida.

The best pies in my town, they make monster pies

We used to go out of our way to purchase pizza from the original Judy's pizza. I call in order they tell me 20 minutes for pick up. When I arrived to pick it up it hasn't even been made yet. When I do receive the pizza it's wrong. I ask the gentleman if it was new management he said yes he was the new owner. Proceeded to tell me all the things he had changed including the pizza sauce. It tasted like I was eating papa John's pizza at a very expensive price. Why would you keep the name if you was gonna change the taste and quality of the food.I guess will be looking for another pizza place with authentic pizza that doesn't taste like the every day $5 pizzas. Staff was friendly.

Great pizza! You can get a huge 24 inch pizza too which is unique and awesome. Friendly and quick service but they don't usually have specials and the pizza is a little pricy

Dry and over cooked. Wanted to try a new pizza place. Once again disappointed. And what is this with the topping under the cheese? It's a TOPPING! They mix with the sauce and you don't even know it's there! Are you trying to hide the skimping? Any way our search continues. I guess you can only get good pizza in the North. 😢

Love Judy's pizza. Pizza is thin crust so you can actually taste the toppings not dough. Service is always friendly and I've never had anything I didn't like. From the garlic rolls to the calzones!!

Best Pizza and Wings I have ever enjoyed. I drive over an hour from Raiford to Hawthorne....well worth the drive.

I’ve read the reviews, I’ve had the quisine, and I’m amused to say; that all the negative reviews must be from entitled guests whose benchmark for savory food is a frozen burrito. Well prepared food takes time, finesse, and perfect execution. A dish, “ or slice of pizza” that hits the table in 30 seconds on a paper plate is most certainly not fresh, with toppings carelessly patch-worked on top before being re-heated is not my idea of a good slice. Judy’s is an unexpected little gem in the heart of Hawthorne, the wait isn’t that long at all, and the dishes are well prepared, fresh, and expertly cooked. I enjoy food that the has been made with pride, and I will be returning as much as possible to enjoy the atmosphere, staff and menu. Well done!

Our first and last time. Waitress was good, sweet tea was good. My lasagna had a strange taste and was too cheesy and not enough noodles. Table beside us was soooo loud u couldnt hear yourself talk

We found this place by accident and so glad we did. We travel from Largo to Jacksonville and this is a great lunch stop for us. Great service and pie!

Today we have been home for over a week. Ordered takeout from Judy's pizza. Two salads and a medium half and half pizza. Oh my, leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Great service, awesome food. Thank you

Been going to this place for a while and its been good every time. Small place but the quality of the food is amazing and tastes good. Would recommend to anyone looking to get some pizza.

Delicious nacho supreme and Italian sub! I absolutely love this stuff and miss Judy and the staff always keep her kitchen spotless. I know because I worked there.
